Two thing of note about Tom Watson's rant:  At no time does he call for a halt to the NSA's spying, he only calls for 'reform', which in Washington means changing the letters on some doors (at most).  And, it appears, almost all of his readers seem to be seeing through him, judging by the near absence of comments supportive of him.

Regarding the BBE segment:
The bit Shane and Charles pointed out (and Tim) about him just assuming this position (ours) are bad reminds me of something.
I thought these social democrats were supposed to be the freedom of speech/debate loving folk.  I guess when that involves *their* dogmas, it's another story...
