Ever since I got Firefox 4 (including the updates up until right now), it has a habit of crashing on me.  It seems to happen at least every few days.  My operating System is Windows 7 Home Premium, the 64 bit edition, with service pack 1.  It's worth noting that I had this crash problem even without the service pack, and before I upgraded to FireFox 4 (while still having the same operating system) I didn't have issues with crashes.  Is anyone else having this problem with the new Firefox?

Any idea for a fix--one that doesn't involve overhauling my computer's operating system?  Do you think I should downgrade to Firefox 3.6.17?

Don't ask me; I've been running the beta of Firefox 5. No problems.

I have had problems with the latest Adobe Flash plugin; I went back to the previous version and my problems were over.

How is Firefox 5? I was in the beta for 4 almost from the beginning so I've been wondering if I should make the jump to 5.

I haven't had any problems with it at all (except for the Flash thing I mentioned, but that's an Adobe thing).

OK, thanks anyways.

I've been afraid to run beta software ever since I tried to run the beta of IE 8 a few years back and it went haywire on me.  You think I'd have better luck with the Firefox 5 beta?

I think you'd have better luck with Firefox 5 Beta than you will with even RELEASE versions of IE!

When and how did it give you problems?  I just downloaded it about a half hour ago, and tried to watch videos on YouTube and it works fine for me.

I couldn't play anything on YouTube without it freezing up.

I thought that was just YouTube being YouTube.
