So there was a petition for Edward Snowden to have a full and and unconditional pardon for his actions, unsurprisingly Obama decided not to pardon him.

If he felt his actions were consistent with civil disobedience, then he should do what those who have taken issue with their own government do: Challenge it, speak out, engage in a constructive act of protest, and -- importantly -- accept the consequences of his actions. He should come home to the United States, and be judged by a jury of his peers -- not hide behind the cover of an authoritarian regime. Right now, he's running away from the consequences of his actions.

In other words: Edward Snowden should be held accountable while we get spy on you our citizens without any accountability or consequences whatsoever.

Wow the double standard is so tangible I just want to hurl.

And, of course, he WON'T get a fair and public trial by a jury of his peers because of the Espionage Act. Amazing how they keep leaving that part out!
