Just curious to get the opinions of ebveryone here. What are your opinions  on the divide between Rothbardian and Tuckerite schools of free market anarchism?

What's the difference between them?

Rothbardian = homesteading

Tuckerian = might makes right

Rothbardian then.  Holy shit.  Might makes right is *not* a can of worms that should be opened.

Actually, might makes right are what a lot of people are afraid of when they think libertarian. (I.E. there's no police to stop your neighbor from taking your shit, if you're not strong enough to stop him... and no court to go to after the fact.)

The fact that those same people support a state which is the living institutional embodiment of might makes right shows they don't give two shits about that; it's just a knee-jerk reaction.

"Anarchists did not try to carry out genocide against the Armenians in Turkey; they did not deliberately starve millions of Ukrainians; they did not create a system of death camps to kill Jews, gypsies, and Slavs in Europe; they did not fire-bomb scores of large German and Japanese cities and drop nuclear bombs on two of them; they did not carry out a Great Leap Forward that killed scores of millions of Chinese; they did not attempt to kill everybody with any appreciable education in Cambodia; they did not launch one aggressive war after another; they did not implement trade sanctions that killed perhaps 500,000 Iraqi children. In debates between anarchists and statists, the burden of proof clearly should rest on those who place their trust in the state. Anarchy's mayhem is wholly conjectural; the state's mayhem is undeniably, factually horrendous." —Robert Higgs

It says Tucker is a mutualist in terms of land.  Yeah, I think that's bogus. If I'm not using a factory because it's shut down while me and my workers are on Christmas vacation it doesn't logically follow that the factory is unowned during that time.

@AnCapBrony--he said Benjamin Tucker, not Jeffrey Tucker.  Yeah, I thought he was talking about Jeffrey Tucker too, at first.  It's an easy misunderstanding.

To them I'd say, "You're not using your ass.   Bend over."
