YouTube is letting us submit questions to be asked of Barack Obama: http://www.youtube.com/user/worldview
Here are the ones I've contributed. You can vote on them until midnight tonight (26 January) EST, but I can't link directly to the questions so you'd have to find them with the search feature:
QuoteWould you be a better person today if, for your youthful drug use, you had served 10 years in prison? If not, why don't you propose to end the War on Drugs and release the hundreds of thousands of non-violent drug offenders in federal prisons?
How can you promise to "preserve" Social Security when you're spending all its receipts and leaving nothing in the trust fund?
Where in the Constitution does it give you the authority to spend our money on federal education programs, to take our money and give it to charities of your choice, or to set up government health care?
You said you believe fully in a woman's right to choose what happens to her body. Does this include her right to smoke marijuana? Or is abortion the only area in which a woman has the right to choose what she wants?
Thanks to WikiLeaks, we now have a good measure of the cost in American lives of our foreign policy. How many American lives do you think is an acceptable price to pay for a meddling foreign policy?
Have you ever read the Bill of Rights? If so, how does it square with your policies on health-care, education, warrantless wiretapping, and your allowing the government to lock away and forget about people who have never been charged with a crime?
Every one of the proposals you've made to fix what you perceive as today's problems has been in the direction of more government. Are you saying that only government can solve our problems? Are there any problems you think government makes worse?
Before government started meddling in health care in the 1960s, one's health care expenses for a year totaled about one day's wages. Why are you taking an issue caused by government intervention and saying the solution is more government?
Also, if you look at the first I-don't-even-know-how-many pages of the top results, they're ALL about the legalization of at least marijuana. How much longer are politicians going to be able to maintain the status quo in the War on Drugs?
Edit: Oh, and I really should credit my hero Harry Browne for the inspiration for these questions.
Alrighty. Voted for each one at least once.
LOL @ "at least."
Every time I try to vote, I get "Login required", even though I am logged in >:(
Edit: This system is a joke. Sure, I can choose between different topics, but after that, I get like 5 questions per page with absolutely no option of somehow loading all of them, or at least giving me some sort of page select. All we have is "Next page" and that's it. Seriously YouTube, wtf.
I'll wager a guess it won't let me participate cause I'm a dirty Canadian.

You need a separate login to your Google account, it doesn't use the YouTube login for some reason.
