Title: Paypal caving to the IRS?
Post by: Lord T Hawkeye on December 01, 2010, 02:37:37 PM

This particularily concerns a friend of mine who uses Paypal to take payment for art (yes, the same one who does my own webcomic).  Him and his girlfriend are not rich and cannot afford to have the IRS harrassing them.

Should they be worried?  Is there anything they can do?

It's a new law, so PayPal doesn't have any choice. This is one of those horrible things stuck in as a rider to the health care bill.

Write your congresscritter.

This part about it only being applicable for 20000 dollars transaction worth or over 200 transactions, is that in total or per year?

Cause the healthcare bill was all about helping the poor and blah blah blah...

Thieves, murderers and traitors, the whole lot of them...

Why?  What do they care?  They got your money whatever your opinion is anyway.

Opinions sent en masse DO make a difference.

Except Lord T Hawkeye lives in Canada, and, as far as I know, isn't a US citizen (can't vote in our elections).
