Title: Abortion and the workforce
Post by: FSBlueApocalypse on October 24, 2010, 11:12:16 PM
My apologies if this has been posted previously, anyway, I got an email from a prominent local Libertarian. Basicly it was saying a GOP victory wasn't anything to be happy about (Completely agree). However, then it got to this
QuoteAnd the Democrats are fully committed to the option of death to every fetus.  The blood of 50 million abortuses bothers some of them but not enough to truly matter. Maybe the Rev. Jeremiah Wright was correct, but for a different reason, to call for God's damning of America.  And ironically, at least 35 million of them would have already entered the workforce, likely  delaying what is now the imminent collapse of this country due to the socialist programs so dear to the Democrats' hearts.  At least, in this regard, the Republicans have been honorable.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a retarded statement?

Soooooo, he is against the right of a woman to abort her fetus, or what?

Christian libertarians can be very frustrating to listen to.

Seems like a new way to complain against abortion. "Oh, but aborted fetuses are people that could have been in the workforce, yeah, that's right, it's not about me being a religious fuckwit at all"

It's doubly retarded if he's against illegal immigrants because they take our jobs.

I do understand his concern though.
After all, ever fetus that's been aborted is one less man man sent to die in a war once he's grown up.
I think I heard someone call this system Zombies on demand.

So he's a libertarian, except for the parts where he wants to use government coercion to impinge on the rights of women to control their own bodies?  Yeah no, that's just another Conservative posing as a libertarian.

To Shane: Not sure what his position on illegal immigration is.

As far as Christian Libertarians go, I agree.  I think they're nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing.

Either way, it might be easier to take him seriously if we weren't looking at double-digit unemployment right now...

I meant the former, but, of course, the latter applies as well.

Agreed.
Heck, the only Christian Libertarian I have any respect for would be Mary J. Ruwart.
