Title: Sound
Post by: Gumba Masta on September 05, 2010, 08:22:58 AM
Is what Bogosity episode eight and nine lack, at least when I watch them through Veoh.
Anybody else having that problem or am I the only one?

I really need to find a better venue for the full-length episodes. Any recommendations?

The only other venue I know of is Blip.tv, and they're not exactly perfect.

Um, for this show, YES BLIP.TV IS PERFECT. As a matter of fact, I am still scratching my head as to why he hasn't uploaded them to that site already. No false flagging YouTube bullshit, no time limits and you get paid without being a special partner or something like that.

Blip.TV is basically THE SITE for people making videos for their own websites. BlipTV would be perfect for the front page of this site.

Actually, I was referring to the slow loading speed and such, and it also seems to use more memory than youtube's video player. And you can still get false DMCA flags on Blip.tv. TGWTG had a few of their movies lampooning 'The Room' taken down when Tommy Wiseau filed a DMCA claim. As far as I know, they haven't managed to get them back up yet.

And just to be clear, I'm not saying Blip.tv is bad. I'm just saying that it has its own issues.

Well, if i can just click play on a video and watch it from beginning to end without any buffering with my Bulgarian Internet service, then I think the download speed is just fine.

And that thing about "The Room" movie was done by the actual copyright owners, who had to actually contact the Blip.Tv staff I think. Not by some jerkoff who simply pushes a button under the video. So it barely even compares to the mess that is the YouTube system.

And if nothing else, it's definitely a better site than freaking VEOH. A site that I don't even have access to, wtf?

Cool! I'll check it out. Thanks.

Uploading Episode 1 as we speak. We'll see how it works.

Well, it got 1k away from finishing and quit with an error. That was using their Windows app. FTP keeps giving me Access Denied. So now I'm doing it on the web uploader, which makes molasses in January look like Mach 3.

So far, not a fan.

Meh...finally got it up, and the sound and video are so far out of sync it's ridiculous.

Anyone else uploaded something to blip.tv and got it to work?

Well, episodes 1-6 are up, so you can check those out:

https://bogosity.blip.tv/ (https://bogosity.blip.tv/)

Since Blip.TV supports HD, I decided to do HD transfers of 7-9 (since they were mastered in HD anyway, unlike the first 6). Unfortunately, I'm having a time wrestling with their system to get it going. I'm having to make the .flv files myself for both HD and SD. I'll get them up. But man, that's annoying...

And slightly out of synch.
But that's alright, I just pretend it's a Godzilla movie.
