I like to read reading zany stuff, like them Mad Science, romance adventure stories in Girl Genius (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com) and space mercenary drama Schlock Mercenary (http://www.schlockmercenary.com/). I'm such a shameless plugger and in plain sight too. Oooooh :-*

XKCD is the greatest. I really liked Cectic, but unfortunately he hasn't done any in a long time. Home on the Strange is great, too; this is my favorite:

I check Penny Arcade and XKCD every few days, and Something Positive just about every day. I discovered the latter a couple years ago. I love the style of humor (nerdy, D&D-ish, though not on the level of Penny Arcade or VG Cats). The art style borders on mediocre, but in a lot of ways that's what makes it so funny (also, the lack of punctuation in many of the speech bubbles). There's an interesting story about the creator, R.K. Milholland (also has a YouTube channel rkm001) on I think Wikipedia. He's an example of successful micro-patronage in that at one point he was getting ready to stop producing the comic because of costs and needing to focus on his day job, and his fan base donated enough for an equivalent salary. He quit his job and now works on the comic full-time.

Well, currently, the only place I can think of that could be considered close to anarchy is certain parts of Somalia. Yeah, that's not a great place to live, but you have to consider the extreme poverty of the area, as well as the tight control the government exercised before it left. Even in spite of this, conditions in Somalia have improved with the removal of their government. Unfortunately, it seems that some of the militant Islamic groups may be asserting control as a new theocracy in response to UN attempts to establish a government.
Personally, I'm not an anarcho-capitalist, but nothing would make me happier than seeing a successful anarchy.
