I didn't hear the speech myself but I was linked to the individual who called him a liar when he said it wouldn't spend tax money on illegal immigrants.
Friend of mine praising the plan tells me he does plan to allow private players into the game. I'll believe that when I see it...
Any details from someone who say the speech they'd like to share?
Even if he does leave the option of private insurance, unless his program is optional to pay, all it will do is crowd out the private market and just make things worse...
Also, as for our health care system at this moment, I see many free market proponents talking about how insurance/socialized costs and incentives are the problem.
They need to focus on the corporatism side of the issue more, imho.
