It's not that he's being proposed in and of itself that is the issue (though really, you don't want him in such a position). It's who is saying it, and why.

I really thought all three points were an issue.

I get the who and why problems because it has been brought up more than enough now, but the mere fact that anybody (because at this point it would be fundamentally equivalent to anybody) could just get in, or that it doesn't bother other people who might have the ultimate authority in a country is telling I think.

I recall that when it was ruled that flag burning was free speech, the first Bush said he supported a narrowly written Constitutional Amendment to make it not protected.

I also recall when the 2Nd Amendment was ruled to recognize an individual right, Obama said he thought it could be circumvented.
