Title: BBE/IE: News Media
Post by: BlameThe1st on October 26, 2015, 11:47:46 PM
By now, if you have been paying attention to the news media, you've heard about the study that links eating red meat to cancer. (I'm sure you've also been hearing the vegans gloat about this finding.) As can be expected with most science reporting, the media has been misrepresenting the study and blowing it completley out of proportion.

Not really going to bog everyone down with an info dump, so I'm simply going to post this chart and the following articles that put much more clarity into the issue:

No mechanism in sight, but still confident to classify in "probably carcinogenic". Go figure. That's not what I call being espistemologically rigorous.

We're all mortal, no sense sacrificing the pleasures of life just for vain hope of a couple more years.  :P

Sometimes, it will be a couple more years with enough energy to move around and not be in pain all the time, and sometimes not shitting by the mouth until you die. I'd say there are pros and cons :)
