The only reason Tesla Motors hasn't joined in the copyright claims is they already have government authorization to use software lockouts to completely disable vehicles.
Edit: In the same case, it was confirmed that their policy of refusing to sell repair and replacement parts to anyone who does anything they don't like (such as try to repair one of the cars they made) can stand. How ANY of this stuff could be permitted under the Right To Repair Act completely escapes me.
Techdirt's pretty good when they're not pushing their Net Neutrality/Title 2 nonsense.
