Edward Snowden isn't a hero, because he had to flee the country to avoid jail time. Because he exposed ineffective programs that threaten our privacy.
He's more like hitman Sammy "The Bull" Gravano who took a plea deal to avoid jail time, and really doesn't face any threat of being offed anytime soon.
