So destiny is wonderful and I haven't been this addicted to a game since skyrim.

Satellite internet suffers from latency problems because you have to get the radio waves up to the satellite and back down again, and then it has to happen again for the reply. There's just no way around that. The speeds can be good, but the latency kills pretty much all online gaming.

The return leg depends on the implementation.  There have been systems that used dialup for the return leg, on the basis that residential users don't need very much upstream bandwidth.  Mind you, this would have been more than a decade ago, I'm not sure if anyone still offers that kind of system.
