He absolutely despises libertarians. he lumps them n with Objectivists and collectively calls them "Randroids" "Plutocrats" and "Sociopaths". I can't really confront him on this because I value our friendship so I've been quiet about it. he doesn't seem to be willing to isten to reason even going so far as thinkng liberatarianism would lead to dictatorships and slavery apparently. I just don't know where he's getting all this. And it doesn't seem like a normal disimissel. this is calculated, targeted hatred.
Why would you value a friendship with someone who hates you and supports violence against you?
He's an old friend. we have some history I've been helping him alpha test some of his projects in the past. I tend to value all of my friendships quite a lot.
Those who support violence against you are not your friends. I've had to leave many when I tested them and found them wanting. Hurts but life is too short to waste on bigoted fools. At least that's my take.
I really should get around to making that vid for people to send to those they want to explain our position to but can't find the words themselves.
I suppose in the meantime you can ask your friend to not talk politics around you.
