I want to get started working with bitcoin but i'm not sure what bitcoin wallets and such I should I should use and since I can reasonably trust most people here (at least I think) and many of you probably know a thing or two about this I wqas wondering if any of you had some advice?
Easiest way is to use a site like Blockchain.info. Pick a secure password (or use LastPass) and they'll store it in the cloud for you. You can use two-factor authentication for added security.
If you want better security, or just to play around with the wallet itself, you can download a client, but fair warning: Bitcoin-QT downloads the entire blockchain, which is now over 10GB! (WAY over what Satoshi predicted!) You can use a thin client like Multibit that doesn't do that. Also fair warning: if you lose the wallet file, your bitcoins are gone, gone, gone forever!

How do I do Two-Step Authentication?
That's when you log in, and then pull up something else like Google Authenticator and type in the code it gives you.
