Surely you didn't think she'd ever READ the Constitution, did you?

As a matter of law, it has been completely impossible to commit treason against the US for more than 60 years.

Well, no, you can't.  Treason, as defined in US law, is impossible to commit unless the US is actually in a state of war, and then it can only be committed by providing aid and comfort to the party war has been declared against.  The US has not been in a legal state of war with anybody since the end of WWII.  Technical and practical states of war don't count.  (If the presence of actual roads and buildings doesn't count for determining an area is a road-free and building-free wilderness area, then you certainly can't claim that the mere occurrence of prolonged combat legally constitutes a war.)
