Make "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" number 1 the week that Thatcher dies. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/2807687628/)

Quote The Judy Garland song, made famous in "The Wizard of Oz," was bought online by masses of Britons in a concerted effort to mark and celebrate the passing of the former prime minister.
Not everyone was so upset over the death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. In fact, some partied like it was 1939 (and they were members of the Lollipop Guild).
Upon the news of the conservative leader's passing, many marked the occasion by tweeting, "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead," appropriating the refrain shouted out by the joyous, newly freed residents of the Yellow Brick Road in The Wizard of Oz. Taking it a step further, a campaign was launched to make the song -- sung by Judy Garland -- the top song on the various music sales charts in the UK.
Led by a Facebook page (which has been home to a contentious back and forth), the song has shot up to the top ten on the UK iTunes charts within 24 hours, and number two on the Amazon download chart.
A more direct shot at Thatcher, Elvis Costello's "Tramp the Dirt Down," was at 79 on the iTunes chart.
Thatcher's death sparked celebrations among liberals and Labour Party members across the UK, who remembered her less than fondly for policies that destroyed trade unions, supported some international dictators and furthered economic inequality in the nation. Morrissey wrote a scathing note about Thatcher in The Daily Beast, calling her a "a terror without an atom of humanity."
Say what you will about Margaret Thatcher, but this is just tasteless, classless, rude, childish, and stupid.

That pretty much sums up British leftists, from what I've seen.
I remember the same crap when Breitbart died.
what cracks me up is this:

completely forgetting things weren't much better before or after her time, under either a labor or conservative person. They all totally sucked, and things have only been getting worse. I could go into how labor and liberal politicians have also supported or tolerated dictatorships (you seen the pics of Qaddafi and Blair together?), or how they set up some of the problems that dogged the British economy since WW2.
I could also mention the fact that one jagoff liberal supervised the founding of Israel...or how another one shafted the Arabs after WW1 at Versailles, setting up the problems we have had this century.
not that conservatives are any better: they let the policies stay in place.
And really, Mrs. Thatcher didn't live up to her promise anyways, so I don't see why people regard her as the "worst" people of her political position and party offer, in terms of how "unliberal" she was.
I posted my distaste for this on facebook and received a comment telling me to "calm down" and that "this is funny."
I said that I didn't find it funny at all and got this response:
QuoteWhen Fidel Castro kicks it, I'll probably make a few jokes ("Fidel Castro died! I'm HAVANNA laugh!"-- see, I'm already prepared for this). When Jimmy Carter dies, I won't be above a peanut farming jab or two. This is just a collective of thousands of people making the same joke. I see no difference, and I don't consider myself a disgusting person, devoid of taste or class.
There's all the difference in the world between a bad pun and a campaign that is basically people stating that they're glad someone is dead.
People didn't act this way when Ronald Reagan died. They didn't even act this way when Jesse Helms died. It's psychotic.

And let's be honest. If people were doing something like this to Obama, liberals would call them racist and heartless.
