Title: US Government to sue S&P over the mortgage crisis
Post by: Altimadark on February 05, 2013, 12:07:33 AM
Story: Standard & Poor's expects lawsuit over subprime ratings (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/21331018)

I think it goes without saying that the lawsuit is rife with bogons.

When I first noticed this article, I thought the US Govt was trying to sue the S&P for downgrading their credit rating. Wouldn't surprise me if the Justice Dept brings it up in the lawsuit.

I doubt the Justice Department will bring up the downgrading of the U.S.'s credit rating, but I'm sure it's the reason for the suit.
