I have an opportunity to pick up the Creature from Jekyll Island latest edition cheap. I'm reading books on the Federal Reserve now. I've already read End the Fed and I'm reading Secrets of the Temple. I also have a book called the Tarnished Fed and Murray Rothbards book The Case Against the Fed.
Since the Author of the Creature from Jekyll Island also has a book claiming you can cure cancer by taking a supplement I'm wondering if the book is going to have good information or conspiracy nonsense?
I haven't read it, but my impression from what I've heard from others is it's conspiracy nonsense.
It's not even useful conspiracy nonsense. What does it matter if the Fed was created by a secret cabal of bankers on Jekyll Island or by an act of Congress? It's still bad, it still needs to end.

I agree, I've always thought it was the power to abuse, not the abuse of power that's the problem. Conspiracy nonsense also makes people think defective systems can be saved if they get the right people into office, which never works.
On the one hand the book keeps getting referenced all over the place, on the other hand I'm not looking to absorb a lot of false information and the time it takes to read this book I can put to better use elsewhere. I figure I'll read the rest of my pile and then go looking for other books with the perspective I gain from being more informed.
