Brooklyn resident Neil Coulon, 38 says his wife was stressed after delivering preemie twins and when he went to check on them he was told by Beyonce's bodyguards that he couldn't visit his daughters. Coulon told the Chicago Sun-Times:
"Three times they stopped me from entering or exiting the NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) and it happened once on Friday — just because they wanted to use the hallway."
"They should have been more strategic about it," he continued. "These are children with problems in intensive care and you're just going to take over the hospital like you own it? All I want is an apology."
In the meantime Jay-Z was having a party in the rented out wing of the hospital for little baby girl Blue Ivy, reportedly bringing in bottles of champagne for friends and family to enjoy.
The story was confirmed by a hospital staffer who revealed:
"Some people were upset ... I heard a gentleman say he couldn't go upstairs to see his baby [Saturday].
That staffer adds:
"People are really upset and complaining," while noting that medical staff must "shut down" whenever Beyonce moves about.
$1.3 million isn't a bad payday for the hospital, that is until parents with children in the NICU start filing lawsuits.

Hopefully Jay-Z and Beyonce don't end up raising an entitled little brat that matches their parents own disrespect for other people. Then again who am I kidding, the kids already headed in that direction.
While this article blames the two celebrities primarily, I would also like to point blame at the hospital for even allowing such a thing to happen. I understand that the celebrities want their privacy, but it really is ridiculous that they had to prevent other people from being able to see their own children while they took the entire wing to throw a party.
Both sides made the deal, so both sides deserve the blame.

Exactly. For some reason, people are only blaming the celebrities.

You know, I've volunteered at conventions volunteered a member of the 'safety' staff (Texas law prevents the use of the word security by anyone but licensed security professionals), where you often have to coordinate between the hotel staff, the guests' private security orgs, and your own volunteers. I've heard of stuff like this happening before, but that's usually when you have a communication failure mixed with unpaid and inexperienced volunteers. Even then, it's usually resolved within an hour (unless the con is run VERY poorly). What the hell is a professional organization doing when they make mistakes that con volunteers manage to avoid?

Shane's got a point, as it is the hospital that advantaged one set of customers over the rest. Hopefully the hospital will be punished for it's imprudence by the free market.
I can guarantee you though, that most people will lay the blame at the celebrities feet, and ignore the hospital's role in all of this, probably using some bullshit "they-needed-the-money" lack-of-integrity type of excuse.
This to me seems like a cluster where big shot celebrities whipped out a fat check and hospital admins just looked the other way.
