It is Carl Sagan's birth day. Some people are celebrating it so I thought I'd bring it up. My favorite book of his was Dragons of Eden with Demon Haunted World being a close second.

my favorite Sagan work is cosmos. cosmos was awesome!
They're making a sequel to Cosmos, by the way, with Neil Degrasse Tyson--and if it were anyone other than Tyson I'd be cringing about it, but Tyson is the perfect one to pick up Sagan's mantle.
Also, interestingly enough, Seth MacFarlane will be producing it!
Ann Druyan and Steven Soter, the original Cosmos producers, will be working on it as well.
