Something from one of Stef's vids I just wanted to save here for interesting discussion. Some stats on congressmen. It's a few years old but still interesting.
29 have been accused of spousal abuse.
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad cheques
117 have bankrupted at least two businesses (wow...)
3 have been arrested for assault
71 have credit scores so bad that they can't qualify for a credit card
14 have been arrested on drug related charges
Around 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
71 are current defendants in lawsuits
In 1998 alone, 84 were stopped for drunk driving but released after claiming congressional immunity
And people wonder why I suggest they get their head examined when they proposing trusting these people to run our lives...
It'd be nice to see the percentages there, and contrast that to what percentage of the population is like that. (Not that I think it would show them in any better light...)

And yes, maybe some time, we should do a detailed study on how politicians compare with the rest of the populace for following the law and acting morally.
