Oh, and of course, I want to see Nintendo and Sega finally get down to some real work and make a Mario/Sonic platformer crossover rather than an Olympic games crossover.

*High Fives* YES! :D

Yes....I'm well aware. That was the joke.

Sorry. I misread it as someone already taking care of the crossover, not the matter requiring it. It was a good joke, though. My girlfriend and I had a good laugh over it.

Seconded, though I think someone on newgrounds already did a Dragonball Z inspired crossover of it that was pretty good, but it's been a while since I've seen it. I think it was called Super Mario Bros Z.

Forum necromancy is bad, I know, but I figured it was better than starting a new topic.

For anyone who may still be on the fence, I HIGHLY recommend the unity saga. It's not perfect, but it does so much right that I actually feel that it might make more sense than the actual Trek canon. Granted, it means sacrificing much of the Star Wars expanded universe, but it almost seems worth it. There are so many elements that seem to naturally mix and build upon already established elements, like Seven of Nine's growth and certain Star Trek characters succumbing to the influence of the Sith (I won't give out any spoilers, just in case, but it'll make sense when you read it. Actually, it seems like the author understands those characters a bit better than the writers. And I just realized I may have spoiled a little bit of it with that comment.). Oh, well. It's a great read, even if it is a bit long.

Okay. Finished the Unity saga. The end had a couple of strange moments, and I feel it wrapped up a little too quickly/cleanly to my tastes with just a few questions left unanswered. Now that that's out of the way, I have to say that it's probably the best "expanded universe" bit of fiction I've read concerning Star Wars and Star Trek. I'd go so far as to rate it above the original Timothy Zahn trilogy. There may even be a slight libertarian message in there, with (SPOILERS AHEAD!!!) (Spoiler withheld until I can figure out how to add a black fill color to obscure it.)

Another thought I had about a potential Doctor Who crossover. I mean, really, you can't have a cross-dimensional crisis without involving the most powerful forces in those universes, which (from what I can gather, excluding certain 'beyond this plane' beings such as Q) would be the Daleks and the Borg. The interesting thing is that these two races are essentially polar opposites. The Borg assimilate, the Daleks destroy. The Borg change, adapt, and assimilate different life from them in order to accomplish this. The Daleks want to preserve their template of perfection against all possible corruption, even to the point of suicidal devotion. How would the Daleks react to observing this? To seeing other Daleks assimilated and going up against Dalek drones, corrupted perversions of their perfection? If that desire to preserve their genetic template is strong enough to drive some to stand and be executed by a more perfect paradigm, how would they react to something capable of corrupting it completely at a whim? I wonder if it would drive them insane, especially if they started losing. And what happens when the borg assimilate the technology of one of the most powerful races in the Doctor Who universe? With the Time Lords gone, who's to stop them from taking full advantage of their newfound ability to manipulate time itself? I'd love to see someone of Steven Moffet's ability write a story like that.

...
I only would support Blade/Buffy crossover if the two end up having sex and a child that they'll name Dave.

And that explains my origins.

That's Penn Jillette, more than half of Penn & Teller (by weight).

The uploader has not made this video avavable in your country.
What a prick.

Alright that's it!
I'd had it with Sony!
On behalf of Switzerland I issue an embargo on them!
That's right, Sony. No more cheese stuffed chocolate saussages for you.
