When are people going to wake up and see this stuff for what it is, or even pay attention to what's going on around them? I mean, sheesh...

On a slightly related tangent, I thought of one bill I would like to see passed that would be rendered impossible by the one-subject-at-a-time act. It'd be a rollback of sorts, repealing any and all laws passed by congress, and disbanding any bureaucratic agencies formed, after 1875. I had an idea where I'd attach the bill to something else, like a renewal of some welfare program for orphans with Lou Gherig's disease (who would vote against that), and write the text in a mixture of Klingon and Chinese. I mean, if the Patriot Act passed without being read, it's possible that this might get passed as well, right? Is there a rule in congressional procedure that says that all bills must be written in English? =P
