"When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world—'No. You move.'"
-Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man 537

Well, it's certainly not hard hitting science.
What's written in the science part of the example is not wrong, it could be written better but this isn't a science blog, it's mainly for entertainment purposes and there's certainly enough real science in it as a base to search for more material on the internet for anyone who's wants to investigate further.

I saw it.
Between the above article, their article on Google, their nonsense about robots taking over the world and using scientifically illiterate phrases like "things that science can't explain", I really have a hard time taking anything they say with more than a grain of salt.

The irony is, if you read further they point out that the "40 acres and a mule" thing was just a temporary measure (by General Sherman to get rid of these pesky slaves and a surplus of mules). Yet, they don't seem to want to mention that Paine's solutions were only meant to be temporary, either.

So Cracked.com cherry picked?

The guy who made the article cherry picked and then the Cracked guys approved his article, because they knew it will get some views going.
