You know what would be funny?

Taking a hate sermon of an islamic priest and subtitle it with Rick Astley.
I'd do it myself if I actually could figure out how to use video editing software without erasing half of my harddrive.

That would be epic.
Especially if the subtitles were in both English AND Arabic.
"When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world—'No. You move.'"
-Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man 537

That definatly would be the icing on the cake. You're brilliant!

Stick it to those ball-less creators of South Park!
"Did you know that the hole's only natural enemy is the pile?"
"Dead Poets Society has destroyed a generation of educators."
  --The Simpsons, "Special Edna"

How are Trey and Matt ball-less? They made fun of something that they KNEW would get them death threats!

Seriously? Did you not read how Comedy Central basicly screwed them over on last week's episode? Nevermind how Comedy Central is now blocking having 201 or The Super Best friends available on South Park Studios?

Trey and Matt don't have any control over what happens to their product once it's in Comedy Central's hands.

That's what I'm saying. CC screwed Matt and Trey. Calling Matt and Trey ball less isn't understanding the situation.

The ironic thing is, when I saw the episode and the extended bleeps at the end, I laughed out loud, figuring it was Trey and Matt lampooning the censorship. Let's face it, they didn't need the moral speech at the end; they got their point across, but Comedy Central bleeping the whole speech just made the point so much more clearly.

I retract my statement. However, this censorship from CC happened before (Cartoon Wars I think... the one where all the residents are burying their heads in the sand), so why did Matt and Trey try it again knowing it would be censored? They're brave for doing it but it almost seems futile. They probably can't break contract otherwise they would have circumvented CC by now to show offending material. So what next? This is the year 2010, in my opinion having a network own you should be a thing of the past, just like having a label own a band. Go solo, even though it might be a pain. They have enough of a following to do it don't they?
"Did you know that the hole's only natural enemy is the pile?"
"Dead Poets Society has destroyed a generation of educators."

The episode is ABOUT the fact that these things are censored.

Could South Park move to HBO or Showtime?

Noooo!
Carlin did that and they killed him...it took them 30 goddamm years, but they killed him, with money and fame!

The genius of Trey and Matt is that they set the show up in such a way that any action on the part of the network to censor them essentially makes their point.  When they made an episode about scientology being full of litigious frauds, scientology proved themselves to be litigious frauds by filing legal action.  Now, when they point out the abject cowardice of western media in the face of threats from savages, the networks proves its cowardice by censoring them.  Andy Kaufman couldn't have pimped his audience better than this.

Seems like Thunderf00t has decided to weigh in on this:

Note that he praises the Enlightenment Revolution.  Yes, the same Enlightenment Revolution that allowed, for the first time in human history, free markets and personal liberty to flourish in ways unprecedented in any time before or since.
Savor the irony.
