On the 2016 GOP debate

in the spirit of the 2012 MSNBC debate comments I made, I'm going to open a new thread about my reaction to the debate, as I watched it: worth noting for honesty that I saw it as part of Sargon of Akkad's commentary, so some of this will be my reaction to him (you'll see my religious bias I'm sure...). I look forward to your own personal reactions to the debates...

On the Candidates:

[spoiler]we have (in order of introduction):
-That dude who fires people on TV (will call him "bizbizman!")
-a complete pussy
-A Cheese-eater who looks like a 1950's stereotype (srsly, what's with the creepy wink?)
-a neurosurgeon
-An evangelist with a persecution complex
-a Barbarian from the heart of Darkness who looks so fake I think he's made of wax or wood: I'm gonna call him "the fake one", or "Mannequin"...or fuck it, he's a stereotypical Texan: would "barbarian" do? I know, my ugly experience in Texas shows.
-a guy who masturbates to war with Iran
-Ginger ale to Ron Paul's Vodka
-a whale (who apparently he swims off the coast of New Jersey)
-The Governor of Ohio (srsly, need I say more? he's the governor of my mom's home state)

-srsly, why is the guy introducing them look like he's made of polished wood? you might want to cut down on the Botox man...
-does it really matter if the losers are going to support the eventual nominee? why the overreaction from the crowds?
-Sargon's gotten a hell of a laugh predicting Trump's response: and yeah, he's really a lot like a movie-villain.
-yeah, they said that about Libertarians: no, you guys lost the last time 'cuz you guys suck...
-yes ginger ale, calm down: we don't need a captain obvious...
-nothing says brazen like openly bragging about bribing people...and yes German one, Masturbating to Trump is fun...[/spoiler]


On electability:

-the neurosurgeon is at least somewhat honest about having a lot to work on...I'd only add that they all have a lot to learn...
-here we see several artists at work, engaging in the art of the non-answer...truly they craft masterpieces!
-personal attacks: the true hallmark of serious political discourse!
-we're going to hear a lot about gassing people from the German guy, aren't we?
-to answer your question Sargon: None of them are electable/qualified: all of them suck..
-Apparently the pussy is called "veto Corleone". apparently his people are smarter and funnier than he is.
-yes, the Governor are comparing penis sizes again...go figure...
-only Rosie O'donnell? meh. Frankly Meghan Kelly has a point (whether she realizes it or not is another matter): bizbizman has all the tact of a piano dropping on him. His imperturbability is amazing: not sure if its greatness or stupidity...
-At least bizbizman is honest...I guess...
-Oh, yeah barbarian, because your voting record proves your impeachable honesty...*severe sarcasm*. By God you're faker than a stripper's tits...
-"we don't have leaders who honor their commitments"--if you honor them as you always have, I'm never going to vote for you...
-Rimush of Akkad is clearly annoyed with the barbarian. And yes, he does look like Bill Murray...he's certainly a smug cunt...
-the evangelist believes non-sentient lifeforms deserve due process: clearly he wants due process for flies, flatworms, and amoebas. the German's right: it's inconsistent, and no need for citation: he's talking out his ass.
-this is a waste of everyone's time...There's just too much bullshit...point is, they all suck.

On immigration:

-I had no idea bizbizman started the debate on immigration...
-Yeah, because the Mexicans can't totally just dig under or go around the wall...And what, are the doors going to have your face on them? perhaps a monogram?
-at least some are trying to find a way of integrating peaceful immigrants into the country. I'm no where near smart enough to figure out which is the best of the people other than Trump. Cuban guy has some interesting ideas on the subject.

On religion (and similar)

-My God, does everyone keep bombarding people with religious platitudes: this is absurd. I don't mind people being openly Christian--that's fine. But this isn't being openly Christian, this is pandering to the lowest degree
-So Barbarian, so you saying God made you a prophet??? *playing "nahnu ghuraabaa 'akk"*: me imitating Bassem Youssef imitating abu jahl: "they say there's a congressmen who panders to tea-party people yet votes big government, so what are we going to do?"
-apparently the 1st amendment means nothing to the evangelist--he has a serious persecution complex
-What, is Reagan their version of the Prophet Muhammd or Jesus Christ? seriously, people quote Reagan almost as much--probably even more than an Imam does the Prophet![/spoiler]
