For not only introducing spyware in Windows 10 (which must be operating for some of the new features to work, such as Cortana) but for adding it too Windows 7 and 8.1 as well.  Fortunately, you can get it back out of those and keep it from coming back (at least for now).

This is all much ado about nothing. There's not really any private information they're getting from you. If you have any iOS or Android device, you're giving MUCH more information to Apple or Google than Windows will be giving to Microsoft.

Do Android and iOS pass along the contents of files as well as what files you access?

No, and neither does Windows 10.

A) What is supposed to be "added" to Windows 7 and/or 8.1?

B) Cortana is a native component of windows 10.

C) If you're using the internet AT  THE FUCK ALL, there is no such thing as "private information".

They added the same tracking capacity to 7 and 8.1. They're reccomended upates and NOT installed by default.
