This Week's Quote: "Feminism has betrayed its roots and deteriorated into spurious artificial engineering. Rather than campaigning to help women, feminists today are more likely to be picking fights on Twitter, or dressing up petty grievances as proof of rampant 'sexism'...If I ever was a feminist, I can't be now...so ashamed and depressed am I by a once-laudable movement...I think any sensible woman will join me in feeling saddened by how irrelevant and niche modern feminism has become." —Angela Epstein

Dave's rant on Victim hood as a business is Al Sharpton in a nutshell!

Don't let him fool you. He's a con man who can fleece with the best of 'em.

Canada's national Feminist organization (the National Action Council on the Status of Women) pretty much self-destructed about 20 years ago because its' leadership decided that the problems of straight, white women weren't important.  Since most Feminists actually are both straight and white, this completely alienated them from the membership of most of the member organizations (and let's not even begin talking about how they inflated their membership numbers by just adding up the membership totals of all member organizations, ignoring how common it is for Feminists to be members of multiple organizations), there was no political cost to all governments since then taking away their government funding and casting them aside.

This was probably less destructive to organized Feminism than the Bob Rae government in Ontario dumping large quantities of cash on many Feminist groups a couple of years earlier, which resulted in a substantial number of them being shut down and their leaders going to prison for financial improprieties.

That story about the TLC inspired me to pen this piece of satire: http://blamethe1st.blogspot.com/2014/08/satire-nyc-bans-walking.html

The main reason I stopped periodically enjoying clips of Real Time with Bill Maher is because Al Sharpton occasionally appears on that show, in addition to him, he also had Bernie Sanders on for his libertarian hit piece. He made fun of us, saying something like:  as a rational person, I enjoy knowing when to go forward and when to stop on the road. I don't say, why is the government telling me when to go on the road!
He doesn't provide any arguments against us, basically just challenging our character. He might as well attack Alex Jones and say that he debunking libertarianism
