Things that piss me off.

The thing that pisses me off is people who disregard a series as bad because of one thing they don't like.
Like people completely disregard Kill La Kill because of the fan service.
Or people who watch a minute of a show and say that they don't like it.
Hell, I give Vampire Knight a shot until the incest crap showed up. That's when I said, "Okay, too weird for me, I'm out."

I'll usually give a show at least a few episodes. If you haven't grabbed me by then, you're doing something wrong.

When someone--especially my parents--talk down to me like, "Oh, you just think that because you're young/inexperienced with life!" Good lord, can people not see how fucking condescending and irritating that is? While she bitches about me "not having empathy."  And then have the gall to get angry at me when I rightly get indignant at that kind of smarmy bullshit...

Happened today earlier when talking with my mom.  She was teaching me about money/credit/etc.  I asked her how having no credit/loans for a long time effects it.  She gets all, "Oh, that's something that doesn't ever happen! YER JUST TOO YOUNG TO UNDERSTAND!" Good lord! Douchebag, much? And yeah, even if that IS true "debt 'til you die" and always needing to take out money in a loan for emergencies and shit (um, just save some fucking money? Good lord!) You'll have to excuse me when I don't pity anyone for that if they--like her--support the same policies of govco debt, inflation, taxes, regulation--especially of the banking industry that allows that sleazy shit in the first place--that makes people "have" to do that stuff in the first place.

Actually, other than the student loan I had when I was like 17, I've never had credit as part of my life, ever. It's perfectly possible to go entire life WITHOUT it. In fact, if I was doing it again, I wouldn't have gotten the student loan!

It's actually getting easier and easier to live a life without credit, too.

For instance, here in Canada we've had debit cards for many years now.  Years afterwards, banks in the US began providing things like the 'VISA Cheque card' which is, as I understand it, really just a debit card that works through the existing credit card system (which is easier to work inside than trying to set up something like Interaq among the much larger number of US banks).  Now, my Canadian-bank issues debit card also has this feature, allowing me to use it anywhere that I could use a VISA card, including online.  If this had been available to me in 2005, I would never have gotten a credit card in the first place.

Actually, in the U.S., the Visa Debit Card is called "Visa Debit Card" and has been widely available since the mid '90's. It comes in two varieties, pre-paid and locked to your chequeing account. Visa Cheque Card was a pre-cursor to that from the '80's, and all it really did was give merchants a "guarantee" your cheque was good. (Since most stores didn't have EFT back then.) Everything else is correct.

Yeah, and you guys have had chip-and-PIN for many years now as well. We're FINALLY getting it here next year, after tons of outrage from all this credit card theft/fraud that's been going on.

Chip-and-PIN credit cards, yes, debit cards with chip are newer.  I got my almost three years ago.  Supposedly, all the security is in algorithms in the credit transaction processing systems that look for transactions that are out of character for the customer.  The chip doesn't carry any information the magnetic stripe didn't already have on it.  It will mean that credit, debit, and other cards that currently have magnetic stripes are thus are easily damaged by strong magnetic fields will, in the near future, have only RFID chips and be immune to any normal strength magnetic fields.

WELP apparently Youtube decided to take down one of my channels.

Change The Channel was a show I did where my bro Matt and I watched shit on Netflix and reviewed it. That's it. What the fuck was so damned scandalous about that shit?

You know what really grinds my gears, Sam Seder and people like him who act so smug even though they pretty much never take in new information they don't like.

Can Sam Seder even process other people's speech?

So, I just got a notice about the resolution of a formal complaint filed against me by another parent.  Those helicopter parents of adults piss me off, especially when they hover low.  They enable their kids so bad and never let them fail, so the kids never learn anything.  I've gotten beautifully written papers (and a large share of trash) in emails forwarded to me by the student.  Kids who can't string anything more than 10 words into a grammatically correct sentence.  I've had parents show up to class to take notes and one time to take a test(!) because, "Johnny is not feeling well today."  More than once, we have had them show up to, and expect to be a part of, the interviews for graduate school.  Apparently, that doesn't even compare to others; I've heard stories about kids that barely function without their parents, including inability to pick their own schedules, living arrangements, food, etc.  Oh, and if you ever give their kid a bad mark or grade, its because you hate their kid.

Speaking of which, back to my story.  I was in my office a month ago when a woman came in with a tirade.  I just sat there and let her vent about how I hate her kid, I'm persecuting him for being a Christian (she's read books about it, you see), have a personal vendetta, and on and on.  I let her go for awhile and finally asked what she was talking about.  She said that I failed her kid and wanted me to explain herself.  Now, I didn't fail any kids this semester in any classes; but that doesn't matter as I cannot discuss any kids information, especially specific grades, with anyone, except my direct superior and certain people in the administration, without written approval.  So I told her that I couldn't give her any information without said release form.  That wasn't good enough for her and she left in a huff.

Today, I got an email about a formal complaint (that she filed with the President of the university) that detailed her side of the story.  The last two sentences of the investigation reads, "The above facts naturally lead to the conclusion that the Aggrieved Party [referring to the student, as the complain was "filed" by him] is not, nor ever has been, a student of the Accused Faculty.  Therefore, the complaint is dismissed as unfounded and no notice of it will be placed in the Accused Faculty's permanent record."  Turns out the kid goes to the community college in town and a professor of one of his classes (which isn't even remotely close in subject matter) has the same last name as me.

Ok, fuck my co-workers right now. I have to work seven hours a day, cleaning toilets, washing dishes and carrying all the heavy shit you can't and you complain about working 4-5 hours as a waitress?!?
My manager (my Mom) happens to work 7:30am to 4:00pm regularly and does doubles constants!
Assholes!
