OK Ikeep hearing this caim form anarcho-communists whenI point out ot them that resources are finite and that, contrary to what they seem to think, scarcity is in fact a real thing and NOT manufactured by the evil bourgeois institutions I aways get something aong these lines

QuoteThere is enough arable land to feed every person in the world many times over. There is enough housing and materials to build houses to supply everyone on earth. The ratio of desire to stuff is irrelevant. Desire itself is irrelevant. Starvation and homelessness are relevant. And if we cared enough we could provide enough of food and shelter to eradicate both. But we don't.

Ancom thinking is really outrageous, isn't it? First of all, how do they know there's enough arable land and construction materials? The middle part of their statement essentially boils down to "LALALALALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU". They don't care about the basic laws of economics. They deny that those laws exist. They think they can just magically give everyone in the world food and shelter. Then there's this part:

QuoteAnd if we cared enough we could provide enough of food and shelter to eradicate both. But we don't.

Okay asshole, why don't you go over to Africa and provide food and shelter to all those impoverished people? What's that? All those communist dictatorships over in Africa keep stealing all your food and building supplies? Well that's too bad.
