Rome total war music is where it's at for me. Check this one out for example:

I think you mean FFVII

But hey I also included DOOM, and Metal Slug :P

Reviving this thread because I went back to listen to the awesome soundtrack for Fist of the North Star - Ken's Rage 2.

who can ever forget this

Why do the hardest levels have the most relaxing music?
I recently heard that the word heretic is derived from the greek work heriticos which means "able to choose"
The more you know...

Okay, time for another blast from the past:

When you're trying to make a game in the style of a Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Western, it helps to have Ennio Morricone actually take part in composing the soundtrack.

OK, about time someone posted this. seriously, it's awesome music--especially for the 90's:

[yt]4D3XeWPM6Fw[/yt]

it's why Mordin Solus from the ME series is such a favorite squadmate to me: I can take him to fights and feel like Earthworm Jim is with me--if Earthworm Jim was actually intelligent and on speed (and going Shatner).
Meh

Starts off kind of generic, then all of a sudden ASS KICKING 8-BIT PROG ROCK MELTING YOUR FACE OFF!

Reviving this thread because more video game music. Been recently looking at the works of Tim Follin and god damn was this guy a genius. He did the music for games like Solstice and Silver Surfer for the NES. Say what you will about Silver Surfer, but anyone who says that game didn't have some of the best fucking music on the NES is a god damned liar.

having played the Silver Surfer (and been owned), I have to agree.

(fun fact: it was never played to be won: only to see how long one could last. It's more fun that way)
