This Week's Quote:
"Freedom has cost too much blood and agony to be relinquished at the cheap price of rhetoric." —Thomas Sowell

Nice. Glad to see it short and tight as bark on a tree like it was before. :)
"When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world—'No. You move.'"
-Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man 537

And yeah, the Kelly Thomas thing had me fuming when I posted that in the co-host thread.  Good lord, sounds like the jurors were that scared of the police.  As far as I'm concerned, hell really IS too good for those apes.

And yeah, seriously, Maddow?  And let it never be said that libertarians are conspiratards.

And as D said to me in AIM:
">what hope is there for any of us
Arming yourself and defending yourself.  Fuck the consequences at this point."
Hey, if you're gonna die, might as well die on your feet, not on your knees.

I'm very, very, happy for the people in India: no Polio for them: hopefully, if Afghanis and Pakistanis (and Nigerians) get these, we may almost totally eliminate the illness. As to the rest: Shane, it was the assholes who stitched up the Pakistanis and Afghanis who started this.

As to the Kelly Thomas matter: the jurors are clearly dumber than that Cow that blocked the road I was on yesterday: that they can be bowled over by this bullshit demonstrates it.

finally: ah, yes, the "Koch Brothers conspiracy"; the Liberal's answer to Alex Jones' "false flags".
Meh

I find it funny that people are defending Maddow when her argument is equivalent to 8 degrees of Kevin Bacon.

I've talked about this before. Everyone is within 5 degrees of separation from everyone else on the planet. Maddow had to use 3 degrees to get from the Kochs to the Florida law. (By the way, this is the same amount of separation from a known terrorist our government says is enough to make someone suspicious.) The average person is within 3 degrees of separation of 3,375,000 people. How many unsavory people are among them? And how many saintly?

You can use this exact same tactic to connect any person or organization on the planet to any other person or organization on the planet.
