Mortal Kombat Mythbusters special?

I've played Mortal Kombat a couple of times, but I've always been fascinated (you read that right) with the finishing moves (the "Fatalities" if you will).  I'm left really wondering is which of these are even physically possible, if so are they really deadly?

Some examples:
Quan Chi's leg rip for instance is possible and in fact would be deadly (see "drawing and quartering").
Sub-zero/Scorpion/Reptile (and the other look-a-likes) spine rip would be fatal even if they didn't even manage to remove the spine.
Reptile's face chew, while horrifying, would not kill the victim (at least not instantly but would die from an infection that followed).
Shang Tsung's soul stealing ability wouldn't even be tested for obvious reasons.

Would you skin rip though? If your pelvis snapped it would probably shatter, "maybe" opening a cut that could tear.

More likely your skin and outer muscles would be torn in half from the waist revealing your ribs, spine, and internal organs......
