Satellite Idea

I always wondered if this idea might work to stop governments from growing.

It is a network of satellites that would track the politicians every move.

If a politician is to enter office local, state, and federal, he must register his data into a network of satellites that would track his every movement. The Satellite is to track if they are going against the constitution and if they do go against it the satellites, for minor stuff, they will not be able to buy anything, no food, electricity etc etc until they makes reparations. For serious stuff like war without congressional approval, passing laws without going through the proper process, ordering kidnappings etc it will send automated drones with machine guns and missiles on their asses.

This satellite network will only affect the ones in it's data base, which will be done by a fingerprint scan. Once you leave office you are taken off the list but you try to come back, forget about it, it will not let you back in.

I'm not so sure.

Frankly, I'm of the opinion of letting Government stay frozen and shut down--have them argue indefinitely, thereby keeping them from growing. My brother will be on permanent furlough, but I can find him a good job, and he can go to College on my dime if he chooses.

I'm just happy Geology was a good choice for the times in my case: not so many people are as fortunate.
Meh

Dude, bad enough with things as they are, I don't think we'd ever want to have autonomous hunter-killer machines that make their own decisions about who to target.

That's why I'm only having it target politicians and like I said the only way to get on it's list is to register your data via finger print scan, tracking collar etc

Why not just activists with video cameras everywhere?

Because politicians could hurt them and censor them and even when they are exposed a lot of them seem to get away with it. So the only thing that will deter them will be economic ostracism or the threat of armed robots to gunning for their asses. Now I know that most people don't need a threat of  punishment to be good, but remember a lot of politicians are psychopaths afterall. This can also deter them from coming into office in the first place.  And remember it's voluntary, once you leave office the politician is taken off the potential target list.

So skynet?

Not exactly, Skynet.

because it does not have artificial intelligence. It has a computer with only one function: to keep politicians in line and nothing else. Skynet on the other hand had control over everything in the US military INCLUDING nuclear weapons. My program/programs only have control over only a few categories of weapons. Also there will be an off switch.

Being videotaped is the only time they CAN'T get away with it!
