The usual quote referred to about wisdom and not knowing things is from Socrates, "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing."

I am not all that impressed with Socrates these days, as he also pulled some real boners, like "The unexamined life is not worth living." (A favorite of a certain sort of Feminist, and completely backwards: It would be much more meaningful to say "The unlived life is not worth examining.")

Instead, let's go with Lt. Commander Data:  '...the most elementary and valuable statement in science, the beginning of wisdom, is, "I do not know".'
