So my mom told me that she heard on the local news last night that under Obamacare, which will go into effect soon, people will be charged under their insurance or something as much as $50 to $60 more a month.  I'm not good at research and haven't found much in the way of this.

Is this true?

Obamacare requires everyone to have private health insurance.

Since obesity is statistically correlated with higher incidence of several health problems, it follows that insurers would charge higher premiums for obese people.  This is going to be mostly an issue for those forced to buy individual coverage because their employer isn't providing group coverage.
