News of the Bogus:
15:05 - Biggest Bogon Emitter: Dave Gilson http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2013/01/pro-gun-myths-fact-check
22:15 - Idiot Extraordinaire: Carolyn McCarthy http://politicker.com/2013/01/carolyn-mccarthy-makes-impassioned-plea-for-gun-control-it-has-to-stop/

This Week's Quote: "Expecting a carjacker or rapist or drug pusher to care that his possession or use of a gun is unlawful is like expecting a terrorist to care that his car bomb is taking up two parking spaces." —Joseph T. Chew

Dave Gilson is a moron.

The answer to all these gun control loons is Chicago. Some of the strictest gun control laws in the entire country and yet the still one of the highest violent crime rates.

David Gilson needs to be reminded that Obama killed far more than Adam Lanza with his drones. 176 children in Pakistan alone. That far out does even the Bath School Disaster.

>Implying he would even care about that.

Remember it isn't about how many people are killed, or even how many children are killed. It's about how many people are killed by a non-government individual that counts.

My killer is good, your killer is bad.

Special pleading, basically?   ;D

Pretty much. I've been told by statists several times that those deaths don't count because it's war, therefore it is excused.

Even though the US has not declared war on another country since World War II.

Or how many are killed by a government headed by the other party.

I did hear of a teacher in Ontario who was fired for her porn career, but the situation was rather different.

She not only made porn vids while working as a teacher, her costar was a student, and the company she was working for in making them was run by students (this was for a senior-year class in business, with a project of designing a business, and there was extra credit if you actually ran the business and made a profit, back when highschool in Ontario was up to 5 years long and most people turned 18 in the fifth year, so everything was entirely legal).  Oh, and it was a Catholic highschool as well.  (Yes, I know, Ontario is the last jurisdiction in the western world that has tax money paid to only one religious group's schools.  Yes, it HAS been ruled to be religious discrimination to do so.  No, it's entirely legal due to each province in Canada getting special rules in the Terms of Union is has for being in Canada, and this is one Ontario got.  The Conservatives tried, in the election before last, to promote the idea of funding all schools that meet Provincial standards for curriculum and teacher qualifications according to the same formula, and the unions went nuts at the prospect of competition for students and the real possibility that teachers might have to produce results to keep their jobs.  They might be not so happy with the result, now that the Liberals, which the unions supported against the Conservatives, have thumped them with legislated contracts instead of the negotiations that the Province wasn't even a party to between the Schools Boards and the unions.)

Ya posts it, I takes it. ;D

Actually, I'd already known about the one in the Philippines. I think you were the one who clued me in to Pakistan.

I love it. :3
Also, your "this is an outright lie!"-cry is my new message ringtone.  ;D
"You have to start with the truth. The truth is the only way that we can get anywhere. Because any decision-making that is based upon lies or ignorance can't lead to a good conclusion."
-- Julian Assange

I really need to tell Senator McCarthy one thing about the black market. If illegal gun smugglers use the trafficking networks that the drug gangs and cartels use I can assure her that we will see huge proliferations of illegal guns.
