Lot's of Obama-bots seem to think that Obama is some sort of benevolent Robin Hood. In my opinion this is far from the truth, in fact he is more similar to Prince John then anyone else. He sends the Sheriff of Nottingham aka, tax collectors to the peasants to take the fruits of their labor at gun point and then give them to his cronies. Remember when they say Robin Hood was stealing from rich and giving to the poor? They should look at this a little more closely. Who were the rich in those days? Kings, Queens, Corrupt Noblemen/women, tax collectors etc, aka THE GOVERNMENT.

So a more accurate statement would be that Robin Hood stole from the government thieves and gave the money back to the victimized peasants, where it rightfully belonged to begin with.

Your Opinions?

In particular, Robin Hood was reclaiming excessive taxes taken from the people.

Exactly. Obama is doing the exact opposite of a Robin Hood.

The video bellow is what probably is going through Obama's head.

Anyone who thinks Obama is Robin Hood is delusional as all hell.

No Kidding!

at this point, a story from the [wiki]Gest of Robyn Hode[/wiki] should prove a didactic experience to the Obamatons. In it, the Government (specifically an Abbot*) tries to extort the money from a knight to save his son (who had committed murder), and lies to Robin Hood to keep his money with him, and keep the knight under his thumb. It doesn't end well--not for the Abbott anyhow.

so with the Abbott, so with Obama.
Meh

In most of the older version of the stories, King John isn't even particularly a villain, he's just too ineffectual a king to restrain the excesses of the Sheriff of Nottingham.  The Sheriff himself isn't doing anything different than any other tax collector (all of whom took more than what they were required to turn in to whomever they paid the taxes to, the excess being their own pay for the task, a practice called 'tax farming' that had been in use since Roman times), he was just doing it more than was customary.
