My daughter was very young when she pointed out all the property damages that superheroes caused. Made me kind of proud.

Ya, I noticed that as a kid and renoticed after rewatching Justice League Unlimited.
Why do people even start business in those cities?

"Hey, honey we just open our new Deli restaurant."
(Superman crashes into the ceiling wrecking the whole restaurant.)

Ya, I noticed that as a kid and renoticed after rewatching Justice League Unlimited.
Why do people even start business in those cities?

Marvel did something about that.  It was a limited series called Damage Control.  Their entire thing was very quickly and very cheaply repairing all the damage inflicted on NYC by the various battles that occur there.  Occupational hazards were a little unusual.  One workman had an Origin on-page.  The main result of this was the foreman calling the office to get him replaced.

The issue with Doctor Doom was the best.  The cover had a full-page image of Doom's mask and the boss of Damage Control screaming "You'll pay for this, Doom!" while waving a piece of paper with "Bill" written on it.
