Some of you guys know that my primary channel for Youtube is a gaming channel. Last year I did a Let's Play of Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and it is my favorite game of all time. I feel confident enough in my abilities to play and beat this game that I'm letting you guys give me challenges to complete.

The way this works is simple. Your job is to give me a level to beat and set the criteria within that level. You can determine what path I take within that level, assign me a power up to use within that level, require
a certain number of coins to collect, decide whether or not I can take a hit, get any secrets if they're available (coin ship, white mushroom house, etc.)

Now of course there will be SOME manipulating so that certain challenges are possible. Certain power ups are not exactly available at certain points of the game without some form of game genie codes. I'll also hold the right to reject challenges that I know are impossible. For example, in 7-2, you can get a white mushroom house there, but it absolutely requires the frog suit in order for it to be obtainable. Obviously, I'm going to reject any request to get the white mushroom house in that level that doesn't allow me use the frog suit. There are other situations where having a certain power up is absolutely required to beat certain levels and what not, so if you can help it, take that into account when submitting your challenges. Also, just so that I'm not absolutely flooded with challenges and the video isn't 3 hours long, I'm limiting you guys to two challenges per person. My computer isn't exactly the greatest and I don't want to have to sit there and wait for a long ass video to render for hours.

Other than that, I can't really think of any rules in particular that I need to put in place as far as that goes. I'm going to give you guys a deadline of November 15th. No reason in particular other than it just seems like a good date for a deadline, while also giving me enough time to record all of these and have it in a presentable form before Christmas. The easiest thing about this is that it requires absolutely no narration, so this will probably be easier to deal with than a standard LP project.

You can submit challenges to me in this thread. I'm going to probably post this on other forums that I take part in as well, so don't be surprised if you end up seeing challenges that are similar to yours in some form or another. I may even make a video where you can submit your challenges to as well.

What's your channel name?

here's a possibility: play through it without killing any of the minor enemies (unless "plot integral"), or using the carapace of any of the ones you must kill as a weapon.

Could you narrow it down to a level or two? The idea is to pick individual levels, rather than just the whole game.

Uhh....I'll see what I can do. Basically it's just a "don't kill the enemies" challenge. Easy enough for the most part. There are only a couple of levels where killing an enemy is absolutely required. I'll probably pick one of the auto-scrolling levels just to make it a little more challenging.
