The key change that kicked in at the onset of the 2012 filing period last week requires third party leaders to identify a full slate of candidates much earlier than in the past.

For example, the New Hampshire Libertarian Party has to list with Secretary of State Bill Gardner by Friday at 5 p.m. all candidates that will want to run in the general election.

Previously, third parties did not have to identify who would be running under their banner until the date of the September primary.

So the Libertarians have to get their slate of candidates together THREE MONTHS before the Democrats and Republicans do!

Their excuse?

"We do not have a lot of time to put the ballot together," Scanlan said.

Then why aren't you making the same demand of the Demopublicans? Why aren't you holding your primary earlier?

One more thing to show people when they claim our elections aren't rigged.

So, the faster the tools needed to prepare the ballots get, the more time they need to prepare the ballots?  Interesting (and transparently false) claim.
