Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane!

It's an unmanned drone helicopter shooting a taco from space down at you and your colleagues during lunchtime!

The Internet is going wild for Tacocopter, perhaps the next great startup out of Silicon Valley, which boasts a business plan that combines four of the most prominent touchstones of modern America: tacos, helicopters, robots and laziness.

This is why I like free market innovations better than government solutions. The Government uses drones to piss off nuclear armed Pakistan, the market uses drones to deliver Mexican takeout.

Frankly, why does it even need to be tacos? all that means is that the rate of people contracting the taco shits will go up. :P

then again, we all have to start somewhere. perhaps in the future something healthier perhaps?
Meh

A hummus copter would be pretty cool. Personally I think this innovation will let places other than pizza offer delivery.

I never understand why people bitch about tacos (esp. Taco Bell) and the 'shits' from them.  I've eaten taco-bell express for lunch in college for almost a year straight and it's never given me such issues.  Some people just have weak stomachs, I guess.  Though I *do* get that reaction if I drink too much milk, so maybe I shouldn't throw stones.  :P

I don't do well with beans. At Chipotle I get the Fajita Burrito with peppers instead of beans.

it's like my brother says: only 90% of people have symptoms from tacobell... :P

and yes, I'm one of them; my brother is more like you.

jokes about taco bell aside, I can see this working: flying means faster delivery, at greater distance. maybe I can order food from zahrat al-mada'in in Kuwait, and have it dropped off from where ever I am.

I believe everybody who has ever been in Kuwait ought to have stopped there. the food is divine!

and yes, it does serve Hummus. ;)

EDIT: the resteraunt, in case anyone goes there, is in hawalli, about a mile from the hawalli mosque (white colored, real big). they serve traditional levantine, turkish, and some western food. very ritzy, but surprisingly cheep. no, I don't know why I went off on this tangent XD

And with less energy, since it's electric and you don't need to cart around a human being and a combustion engine.

I wonder how it handles weather. Obviously snow on the ground isn't an issue.

I would think that high winds would be the only real issue; everything else can be protected against. (Well, maybe hail, but that never lasts long.)

Depends on where you are, and the season. Where I am, currently, freezing rain is a constant concern.  Tomorrow morning, we're forecast to have ice pellets transitioning to rain via freezing rain.  Freezing rain should be coming down about when I'd like to come home from work.
