I posted this in fail quotes, but I honestly believe that this is worthy of the Idiot Extraordinaire category.

As I reported initially, four officers from East Haven, Connecticut were arrested for racial profiling and abuse of power. The arrests came after they were recorded profiling and harassing Latinos.

The mayor was interviewed for a local New York news station on the issue, and when he asked what he would do to help the Latino community after this situation....well, just watch for yourself.

I think you could see why he would be nominated.

I would also consider adding the town of East Haven as a whole. Some people are actually defending this idiocy. Not only are they defending it, but some have even passed the blame to the previous mayor! I had a conversation with some East Haven residents on this issue, and here were some of the things they had to say:

But try living here and dealing with the constant media being here they are camped out at town hall and trying to get comments from residents trying to live their lives day to day and have nothing to do with all this. We're tired of it already
