Republican Primaries

It looks like Ron Paul finished third behind Romney and Santorum who pretty much tied. Besides being shocked that Santorum is still somehow relevant to anyone's existence in 2012 I'm going to make a prediction. Romney takes the Republican nomination and Obama beats him in November. Voter turn out in the election will be one of the lowest on record.

Looks like another 4 years of Bush III...  :(

Santorum's result isn't that surprising considering that Iowa is the only state where he has any real organized support.

Of the next few states, Romney will take New Hampshire and Florida with ease. Newt might take Sakerlina since they love them some war, but besides that Romney might as well be saying "Don't worry Dag, we got this one in the bag"

I dunno, Romney isn't even in as good a position now as he was at this point in the last election, and we saw what happened then.

well, his third place in Iowa means little either way. I've always been shocked, since the first election I voted in (2008), how much of a big deal people make out of that state and NH. This is especially so in the Media.

I'm also surprised how much people put polls in store-especially the lack of any means of verifying them (yes, I know about that bogosity episode). some days I think these people are just pulling these polls out of their asses, to sway the sheeple.
Meh

It's not even a third place: it's a 3-way-tie, since they were both close enough in number of votes to get the same number of delegates, and it's the number of delegates that counts. Of course, try finding anyone in the news media who'll point that out!

just did (by accident); this dude mentions the fact that there are 6 electors from Iowa for each of the three, and even congratulated RP for his success. I'm not sure what to make of this guy though:

I say I don't know, since he's from FOX of all places.
Meh

That's Judge Andrew Napolitano. He and John Stossel are the exceptions.
