Ron Paul will be speaking at Ibrahim's University at 10:00 A.M. tomorrow and then be in Denver for a rally at noon. If I can get away from business then I will try to attend.

actually, it happened today. I saw the people coming out from the speech this morning after stats class (c. 10:45 am), complete with the distinct dark blue signs. would have gone there myself, had I known sooner, so as to make plans for it. luckily, someone went ahead and recorded the rally:

[yt]jhVcpkQPGQU[/yt]

go to about the 2:30th minute to see the man himself.

I did catch a glimpse of him though, exiting the Lory student center (he spoke in the ballroom, which is on the second floor of the place). didn't realize it though till the guys with the signs showed up:shrug:
Meh

I can't believe my state voted Santorum, Romney, Gingrich, then Paul. In fact I don't get how every state last night voted for Santorum. His supporters can't even use the he's electable defense.

I think they use the "He's a kooky fundamentalist right-wing idiotic creatard and so am I" defense.

I'm just flabbergasted Santorum managed to pick up as much steam as he did. Perhaps people were right that Paul shouldn't have given up in South Carolina and Florida.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in Virginia, what with Romney and Paul being the only two candidates on the ballot.

I'm as confused as you about Santorum...mainly because of that segment on the Daily Show discussing the media blackout surround Paul

I think it has to do with all of these things in Obamacare (you know, the things we had to pass it to find out that it said) which forces religious organizations to pay for contraceptive coverage for their employees. Santorum's latest surge seems to have correlated with that. This probably means that his popularity will wane once people's short-term memories forget about this, only to surge again once the next one comes out.

His numbers have always been up and down like a kangaroo on a pogo stick. I think it's mostly timing that'll determine the success of his campaign: where will his numbers happen to be on Super Tuesday?

well, the way I look at it, Colorado, supposedly the prettiest state of the Union, gave its vote to a frothy mix of lube and....well, you know.

put it shortly, they are stupid and tasteless. It's the only explanation I can come up with.

Which is sad since Ron Paul wants to end Obamacare too.

thing is, they know that-but they've been told in effect by the news media that the guy is a loon, that they don't really pay attention to this detail. they just here:

"Ron Paul hates government, wants the Iranis to nuke us, blah blah"

and they go:

"oh shit! run away!"

his supporters certainly help little: they come across frankly as a bunch of fanatics, and that discourages the sheep: like sheep, they're easily startled by the strange and weird.
Meh

Paul's supporters are a cult, sadly

I wish people would stop using this word when talking about the rest of the population. It's a stupid buzz word that people like to use when they want to sound smarter than the rest of the world and it is so overused that it completely loses its meaning.

it more describes how easily influenced they can be, but point taken.
