It was repealed today. Thoughts?

While this is definitely a victory in the name of civil liberties and moves us forward in the fight against discrimination of all peoples, I can't help but think that this victory is rather shallow. I find the celebration unnecessary, and to be quite frank, unwarranted. This doesn't change anything in regards to the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians overseas. People are essentially celebrating that gays can kill foreigners with the rest of the military. I think with the continual influx of civilian deaths, celebrating the lack of discrimination in the ranks of those doing the killing isn't exactly a cause for massive celebration. Am I glad it's gone? Yes, but I see no reason to celebrate.

"Thousands of people are being killed, but hey, at least gays can be open about doing the killing with the rest of us."
