For the reasons you listed in this part of the 4/4/11 Bogosity podcast, does this mean that the CPI is a poor metric not just for inflation, but also for cost of living as well?
I ask because you kept talking about CPI being used for that in the comments of one of your videos.

Actually, yeah, because they keep cherry-picking the market basket.

I only kept talking about CPI in that thread because the nut I was trying to get some sense into kept using it.

Okay this very late in, but the quote is somewhat wrong.  Instead of Nazi, it was Hitler, so that it read Hitlre was elected in a full free democratic system.
